• 🏦 Why the GOP is blaming Silicon Valley Bank’s collapse on ‘woke’ capitalism 🔗 - Maybe because they are looking for a distraction from the fact that their actions actually allowed it? And because, after spending so much time deep in their ignorant bubbles, their supporters will probably accept such an utterly idiotic notion rather than the obvious truth. 🤷🏽‍♂️
• ‘Have jobs, need people’ is the message at Nebraska ‘workforce week’ event 🔗 - I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the reason Nebraska is having issues attracting and retaining educated workers isn’t because of lack of educational opportunities. Once one gets a broader education, Nebraska’s rightward tilt just doesn’t seem particularly inviting to most. Anecdotally I know at least one smart cookie (my son, who I may be slightly biased about) who is eager to get out as soon as high school is done. With our fullest support, as well a little jealousy at having the freedom to easily do so.
