- ☠️ Gov. DeWine, EPA Director drink tap water at home in East Palestine [video] - Sipping on it like it’s Everclear. If those officials truly believe the water’s safe, bottom out that glass. The way they ‘drank’ tells me there’s no damn way it is, and the ‘officials’ fully know it.
- 📚 On Not Writing About New College - Not sure how one of my favorite podcast hosts manages to maintain a peaceful mind in light of [sweeping arms] all of this (though, as one of my favorite podcast hosts, I know that it continues to be a meandering journey for him). But as the father of a soon-to-be college freshman, I hope my son can take away half of what Merlin took from his experience at New College.
- 🏛️ Arizona’s top prosecutor kept private records that debunked election fraud - I dunno, but I just think if you’re a public servant and waste the public’s money at such a scale - 10,000 hours of wasted staff time that he knew was in service of an utter fabrication - it should be considered a crime. At a minimum, should preclude you from ever running for any public office again!
- 🤬 “Apartheid” in Jackson, Mississippi - A backwards state going even further backwards. Not that where I live (Nebraska) is doing an exemplary job of staying in the modern era either, but jfc
- 👶🏽 Sanitation company fined $1.5 million for illegally employing 100 children - Whenever I see these fines, I’m always appalled at how piddly they are. Sure, $1.5m would be tough for me personally, the individual, to stomach. But for a a $billion+ net worth company, barely a rounding error. Want to stop this shit? Make it hurt when they manage to get caught.
- ⛪️ Mexican president AMLO’s elf photo has probably circulated for years - That’s nothing. We have a bunch of people in this country who believe angels are real. At least AMLO isn’t using his kooky beliefs in order to justify changing laws to to harm those who he disagrees with. 🤷🏽♂️
- 🏳️🌈 Indiana lawmakers back defunding Kinsey sex institute - “We must protect our ignorance…”
